 Photo and Video package polices:

 Any package dated February 5th, 2010, or later, and contains a two camera setup (VIDEOGRAPHY ONLY!) does not follow policies that mention due dates, and payment schedules! A package dated after Febuary 5th, 2010 or later, is required to be paid in full except for $100! (1 camera setups will continue to follow our standard policy!)

Example. If your package is priced at $900 you must pay $800 two weeks before the date of your wedding. The additional $100 will be due at delivery of your DVD's. 

There are no immediate work-around on this above policy! Our equipment supplier has changed their policies, requiring us to put down a large equipment deposit, sometimes totaling $500! We have to pay that far in advance, in order to secure equipment for your date! We only keep 40% of that money (which does not cover the pay for the crew) , and the rest is written as a deposit to our equipment supplier. About a week after we return the cameras, we then receive the rest of the deposit, and are able to pay off our crew, and our editors.

Finally when we complete the project, we will deliver your video, and require the last $100.

 

Before any transactions are made, are any check books are pulled out, we WILL want to sit down with you to discuss our terms, and answer any questions you may have! 

STANDARD POLICY

Reservations:

We require a retainer fee for all of our bookings. The fee is $100.00 and is applied to your account balance with us. So if your package costs $900.00 and you pay the retainer fee, your account balance would now be $800.00 (RETAINER FEE is not required for packages dated February 5th, 2010 OR LATER

Bundles:

All of our packages at RKJ Productions can be bundled together with one another. When you do this it saves RKJ Productions a bundle of money, and we feel that we should pass the discount onto you. Bundling saves us: shipping costs on supplies, transportation costs, and production costs. You could save up to $100.00 per package. Up to $100.00 on your photo package, and up to $100.00 dollars on a video package. That's a total savings of $200.00 that you can spend for other things important in your life. 

So how do you bundle? To bundle you must purchase a photo package and a video package. They must be for the same event, and start the same day, same time, and same general location. 

Overtime Charges:

All of our pre-built packages offer Eight hours of consecutive service. This time starts 1 hour before your ceremony, when we start to record the photo shoot, as well as other pre-ceremony events. So if your wedding ceremony starts at 1:00 pm, we will arrive at around 11:30 to setup, and will start recording at 12:00. We will film your ceremony, then capture more photos, and head over to the reception, and we finish at 8:00pm. However if there is a large pause between the ceremony, and the reception say a 2-3 hour gap, we may be able to work out an agreement so that your time is paused between that gap. 

After the eight hours are up, we will notify you that your time is up, and give you the option to add an addtional hour or two. You can add up to four additional hours. (or possibly less, due to battery life, tapes etc) If you tell us in advance that you would like additional time, we will charge you only $45.00 total per hour you add on. If you do not tell us in advance, 

Locations: 

For our own safety as well as logistical reasons we will only cover your event, at the location specified. For all our photo and video packages shown we will only film and photography at two locations. If your pre-ceremony pictures are not being taken at the same location of the ceremony, or recption we will add an additional $100 for the extra location. You are required to share the address of your two to three locations at least 1 month in advance. 

Transportation fees

Due to rising costs of fuel, we may charge you an extra fee to cover some of the cost for gas. This does not apply to the following cities:

Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, Queen Creek, and some parts of Phoenix. Depending on which city your event is in depends on the extra fees.

If you the event city is in the Greater phoenix area, but not listed above we will charge you up to $50.00 dollars for transportation costs. In most cases its around $15-$20. If you wish to know how much you will be charged for transporation costs, please scroll to the bottom of this page, and click on our support tab to contact a manager. 

If your event is outside of Maricopa county you will be charged $200.00 for transportation costs. For example, a wedding in Flagstaff, or Tucson. We will also require that you book us a minimum of Eight weeks in advance. This is so we can make the necessary travel arrangements as we are located about 2-3 hours away from these locations.

Web Access

If you have not already registered as a customer, we will create an account for you. This will unlock additional features to our website, as well as give you access to our customer portal. The customer portal is a page that only you can login into Nobody else is able to view the page, and we keep tabs on who has been using the page. We never show any confidential information on the customer portal. Basically the customer portal shows you the status of your project, reservations etc. It also displays your current balance with us, and a record of your payments. Again this pages only have one user name and password and we will let you choose what the username and password is. There is a backdoor for our production staff to enter just the production pages. They cannot view any payment history. Again the payment history only shows current balance and aknowledges your payments, it doens't show any check numbers or things like that

Usually our editors will introduce themselves to you, and provide their email if you wish to comment about anything they say. They will post updates about once a week, and include pictures. If they have any questions for you, like if you want the titles in the video to be blue, pink or green they will ask about it there. Most projects will have 1-3 editors. One acting as the supervisor. Each editor is assigned different sections, so that they can focus on one thing at a time. They will post periodic updates, and get approval for different artistic details. This is a great tool which is included free when you make your reservation. This cuts down the hassle of calling us to find out about your project, and gives you peace of mind that your project is getting completed in a timely manner.
